The Tiberius Implementation

We bring the Internet to you.

The Tiberius network consists of multiple hub sites located throughout a geographic region. Each hub site is tied back into the Internet with a high-speed connection and functions as an Internet point-of-presence. They can be thought of as an extension of the high-speed Internet backbone into the area where business users are located. Our philosophy at Tiberius varies from that of your traditional Local Exchange Carrier, the Phone Company. Instead of trying to bring customers to the Internet (which is what the local telephone companies are doing), Tiberius is building the Internet outward to our customers.

Businesses located within a 10 mile radius of a hub site can now obtain a high-speed wireless connection to the Internet without having to wait for optical fiber to be run to their location or the local phone company to provision T1 lines to their location.

The Tiberius MERCURYWave Technology

Tiberius' MERCURYWave uses microwave technology that operates in the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz ISM and the 5.3 GHz UNII bands. In addition, MERCURYWave uses spread-spectrum techniques to modulate its signals. Spread-spectrum techniques (which include Frequency Hopping and Direct Sequence) are used by the US Government to provide secure and reliable communications. This of course is necessary for communication of military and national security related information. This technology is available on the commercial market and Tiberius Communications has incorporated it into its MERCURYWave solution.
